Centurion Project Results in the
Cross Replacing Idols!
Gary and Danita Jackson hosted the first
Centurion team last October in China. Recently a second team has
returned, and the Jacksons tell a wonderful story of God's power.
February 29, 2008
It is hard to put into words what has transpired in the last two weeks. Simply put, God has opened a door for
His message in the hearts of the restaurant workers where we conduct the LST Centurion Project
reading sessions. The manager and two of the female workers signed up immediately to read. Now there are five females and two males reading. When we first started reading here last week, there was an altar and image of Guan Yu, a Chinese mythological figure which is very prominent in Chinese businesses. With the encouragement of a Korean believer who came into the restaurant, it has now been removed.
As you can see in the picture, a cross is hanging on the wall (top
right). This morning three of us had a Bible Study with the manager and all of the workers (11 total). After the study this morning about the One True God, four of the girls expressed their faith in God. The plan now is to make this a weekly study. Please pray for this amazing opportunity.
FriendSpeak Veterans Move to Japan
to do LST with University Students

Gary and Linda Gearhart first used LST in
Minnesota, where they introduced their congregation to the FriendSpeak
program. That was 16 years ago. In February, while
introducing their new congregation Woodward Park in Fresno, California,
to FriendSpeak, they visited with Mark Woodward, about what longer
opportunities LST could offer a couple who were seasoned, but not ready
for rocking chairs. Within days LST and the Gearharts had made
arrangements for them to work for the next nine months on the campus of
Ibaraki College, offering LST conversations to Japanese students.
The Omika Church of Christ will supervise this new campus ministry outreach
effort. The Gearharts are an inspiring example of how FriendSpeak
and LST's international work create synergy for the good of the Kingdom
at home and abroad.
