Let's Start Talking is able to provide high-quality, low-cost mission projects by sharing the total cost of the ministry among our workers, staff, and all LST contributors. Because LST workers DO NOT raise money for their own projects, we can send teams anywhere in the world according to the tremendous need, even when the project cost is significantly greater than the amount raised by the workers.

LST team budgets for any given city are set according to the needs of the previous year's team and from our experience in cities similar to yours. We always try to overestimate, but in the chance that we underestimate, LST provides Regional Representatives that have access to funds that can be made available to the teams.

The following expenses are covered by the team's budget during a typical project:

• air fare and ground transportation to and from the host city
• all meals during working days
• all required expenses (including public transportation, supplies, funding for special events)
• telephone calls made to readers during the project
• costs involved in the end meeting
• all FriendSpeak Workbooks needed during the project
• local transportation costs
• laundry and some postage
• communication expenses with their regional representative
